What Should I Know Before I Start
Q: What kind of paint do you use?
A: We use top of the line Sherwin William’s vinyl acrylic latex satin finish, so it is washable.
Q: What kind of weather can you paint in?
A: We can paint in any temperature above 35°. Unlike the old oil based paints of years ago, this paint is designed to go on in almost any type of weather. Sherwin Williams has made their paint more versatile and durable. This allows us to start earlier in the spring and paint later into the fall, extending our painting season.
Q: How long does it take to paint a single house?
A: 3 hours to wash the house, then we return another day to start painting. It will take anywhere between 1-4 days depending on the trim and size of the house.
Q: Do we need to be home while you are painting?
A: No, we help you select your colors prior to power washing. Once we start your job,
we won’t need anything additional from you.
Q: Can we change the color of our home?
A: Yes, no matter color your home is currently or what color you want, we can do it.
Q: Should we move our cars out of the yard?
A: Yes, it would help having free space and the availability of accessing your driveway.
Q: What about overspray?
A: We tape off everything, roofing, foundations, windows, doors, etc. We also cover drives, patios, decks, plants, grass, etc., to protect from overspray.

A: Yes, with a solvent insurance company. We will provide you a copy to keep and check if you would like.
Q: Do you have references we can check?
A: Yes, both residential and commercial.
Q: Do you paint the trim on the house?
A: Yes, we are a full service company. We complete the job so upon our departure there is nothing for you to do!
Q: What about awnings and shutters?
A: Again, we are a full service company, awnings will be painted inside and out, the valance will be painted in the trim color. Shutters will be removed, numbered, refinished and put back when the job is done.
Q: Do we have to get rid of the garbage (paint cans, etc.) when you are done?
A: No, we clean up all debris, bag it up and take it with us.
Q: What are your working hours?
A: Monday –Saturday, usually 8:00am until early evenings, unless it is commercial or industrial work.
Q: Do you stain decks?
A: Yes, it would be a separate price from the house. Some people like to stain the deck themselves. We give you the option.
Q: Are we limited to the colors on the chart you gave us?
A: No, we give you many options of colors and most likely you will be happy with those selections. If you are looking for a color that is not included in our selection, we can “computer match” any color for you.
Q: If we have new windows and doors, do you paint those?
A: No, the factory finish is always better than an applied finish. We cover them when painting.
Q: How long does it take for the paint to dry?
A: Being latex based paint, it can dry in five to ten minutes on a hot day. On a normal day, it can take half an hour to an hour. It is best to wait 24 hours for it to cure and harden before you touch it or do any work near it.
